What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a primary healthcare treatment, osteopaths are able to diagnose and treat problems independently without GP referral however, osteopaths are recognized by the NHS and are able to refer to other healthcare professionals when needed.

Osteopaths primarily treat musculoskeletal & biomechanical problems using a variety of techniques, soft tissue massage/stretching, mobilisation, joint manipulation, exercises & electrotherapy. Not to mention a whole range of other techniques that are gained through further study, such as dry needling.

Treatment is not just limited to back and neck pain, which is often the common misconception. Osteopaths can treat injury in other areas of the body, using their diagnostic skills and orthopedic testing to form a treatment plan to help alleviate pain and reduce symptoms, stimulating the body's own healing response and reducing injury time.
