Osteopathy is an extremely effective form of primary health care with the main focus on diagnosis, examination, treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal problems and pain.
There is a common misconception that osteopaths only treat back pain, Osteopathy can be used to treat a wide range of disorders, including;
Osteopathy normally has a high success rate, however at The Cobham Clinic, if a problem persisits we can arrange MRI, X-ray or refer you to the relevant consultant or specialist to ensure your problem is resolved as quickly as possible.
Treatment usually includes, soft tissue manipulation/massage, mobilistion, manipulation, interferential or ultrasound and strapping and taping if required. We also can prescribe exercise rehabilitation programme, core stability classes or pilates.

Sophie graduated from the British college of osteopathic medicine after completing a four year degree and graduating with a masters. Sophie has worked for two years at a top sports injury clinic, treating world class ball room dancers to footballers and rugby players. Sophie has also worked closely with Great Britain kick boxing team, local martial arts academies and MMA fighters.
As a keen horse rider and having had horses all her life, Sophie has a good understanding of the type of injury that can be inccured through working with horses and competing. Sophie also specialises in strapping and tapping for acute injury and sports trauma, this can be extremely useful when treating and reducing inflammation at the initial stages of acute injury.
Sophie Has also recently completed a course in Kinesio taping.
