Treatment:

Osteopathy is an effective way to help treat the symptoms of TMD (Temporomandibular Joint Disorder), It is important that we work in conjunction with your dentist to make sure the correct diagnosis is reached before treatment begins.

The treatment will consist of; soft tissue and myofacial release to the muscles around the jaw, this may include treating muscles in the neck and up on to the scalp.

Intraoral:

Treatment can also be performed inside of the mouth, this is a highly effective way to treat the inside of the joint. The Practitioner will always wear gloves whilst working on the inside of a patient's mouth.

Treatment is usually quite comfortable, however with some techniques there can  be a degree of discomfort.
