Bio-Filler by Celenix: What You Should Know Before Your Appointment

Bio-Filler by Celenix is now available at Cobham Clinic, and we've had a lot of questions about how it differs from traditional hyaluronic acid fillers. Here's a straightforward guide.

What is Bio-Filler?

Bio-Filler uses a biocompatible, resorbable matrix rather than traditional HA gel. The material integrates with your tissue rather than sitting in it — the result tends to look and feel more natural, and it behaves differently under the skin.

It's particularly well suited to areas where conventional fillers can look unnatural or carry more risk: under the eyes, the lip area, and fine lines around the mouth.

How is it different to standard dermal filler?

Traditional fillers add volume directly. Bio-Filler does too, but the material also supports the surrounding tissue over time, stimulating some degree of collagen response. Think of it as closer to a biostimulator than a straight volumiser.

  • Less risk of the pillow effect in delicate areas
  • More gradual, natural-looking result
  • Particularly effective under-eye and perioral
  • Still fully reversible with hyaluronidase

Who is it for?

It works well for patients who've been nervous about traditional filler, or who've had filler before and felt the result was too much. It's also worth considering if you're treating areas where conventional filler carries higher risk.

As always, we'll assess your anatomy and history at consultation before recommending it.

What should I expect at my appointment?

The treatment takes around 45 minutes. There's some expected swelling and bruising — similar to conventional filler — which settles over about a week. Results are visible from around day 7 and continue to improve over the following weeks as the material integrates.

We offer all new patients a complimentary consultation before any injectable treatment. Book below to talk it through.
